Today, the Embassy of Pakistan organized inauguration ceremony of
“Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park” at Bansbari Club, adjacent to Shahid Gangalal
Hospital, Kathmandu. Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Mr. Abrar H Hashmi, was
the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The handover ceremony was attended by Mr. Prem Thapa, Chairperson,
Ward No. 3, Kathmandu, Mr. Annanta Bhetwal, President Kathmandu Lion Club,
Gyanedera Malla, former captain, Nepal National Cricket Team, and Mr. Santosh
Budathoki, Chairperson, District Coordination Committee and prominent media
representatives.
Addressing the event, Ambassador Hashmi, appreciated the partnership with
city of Kathmandu and HRS Adventures Ltd in developing Pakistan-Nepal
Friendship Park in Kathmandu. He stated that this park stands as a symbol of the
enduring friendship between the two nations and reflect the strong bonds that exist
between the people of Pakistan and Nepal. He also expressed his heartfelt thanks to
the administrator and Municipality of Kathmandu, the government and people of
Nepal for giving the Embassy an opportunity to contribute to the development of
this beautiful park.
Addressing the event, Special Guests expressed their gratitude to the
Government of Pakistan for gifting the people of Nepal ‘Open Air Gym’ facility.
They also expressed their hope that the park will serve as sign of lasting of
friendship and cooperation between the two countries. The Pakistan-Nepal
Friendship Park is dedicated to the shared aspirations and ending friendship
between people of Pakistan and Nepal. The Park would serve as a common facility
for all ages and people from all walks of life conveniently located in the Bansbari
Club.
The participants from the Civil Society and Residents thanked the Embassy
and local Municipality for the facility. They were jubilant for the establishment of
an ‘Open Air Gym’ which will be used by their children young and old persons for
the benefit of their health.
