Saturday, the
Embassy of Pakistan in collaboration with Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and
Cultural Association (NPFCA) organized a Free Medical Camp at Jana Prabhat
Higher Secondary School, Ward No. 13, Kalimati, Kathmandu. This was the 16th
Edition of Free Medical Camp.
The Free Medical
Camp was jointly inaugurated by Honourable Mr. C. P. Mainali, former Deputy
Prime Minister of Nepal; H.E. Ambassador Syed Haider Shah, Ambassador of
Pakistan; and Honourable Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Mrs. Hari
Prabha Khadgi (Shrestha).
Nepalese doctors
and para-medical staff (who had graduated from various medical intuitions of
Pakistan) provided free services. Free medical treatment and three months’
medicines were provided to more than 400 men, women and children. Patients were
apprised about preventive measures against COVID-19.
Ambassador Shah
also handed over a gift of Photocopy Machine to Honourable Mrs. Hari Prabha
Khadgi (Shrestha), Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City for Jana Prabhat
Higher Secondary School.
In her remarks, Deputy
Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Mrs. Hari Prabha Khadgi (Shrestha) thanked
the Embassy of Pakistan and NPFCA for organizing free medical camp in Kathmandu
Metropolitan City and provision of free medical facilities to the deserving
people. She praised Government of Pakistan and NPFCA for generously helping
humanity. She also expressed gratitude for assisting the Jana Prabhat Higher
Secondary School.
In his remarks,
Honourable Mr. C. P. Mainali, former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal recalled
the deep and cordial relations between Nepal and Pakistan, thanked the Embassy
of Pakistan and NPFCA for organizing free medical camps and expressed the wish
for continuation of the spirit of cooperation between the two countries.
In his remarks,
Ambassador Shah said that the Free Medical Camp was a reflection of
people-to-people relations between Pakistan and Nepal. He thanked NPFCA,
doctors and para-medical staff for upholding the spirit of serving humanity.
Ambassador Shah also assured of Pakistan’s continued support for such medical
camps in future as well.
